A very special thanks to the owners and the staff of Apollon Fitness for providing an excellent venue for the event .  The staff of
Apollon Gym were very friendly and helpful, the spotters were excellent, and their hard work at making this an enjoyable event
for everybody was very much appreciated.  I would also especially like to thank Tom & Ellen Chojnowski for traveling several hours
from Connecticut to judge the event, Big Tony Barbaccio for all of his assistance on the platform and center spotting, handing off, and
contributing so much to helping the lifters out, Henri Skiba for all of his help, and many others whose names I do not know who helped
out throughout the day.  It was a great event and a lot of fun.  Several records were set at this event and they are now listed on the
APA website.  Meet photos are also posted at http://www.apa-wpa.com/MeetPhotos/
I was very impressed with female lifters Irena Veselova who lifted RAW and set several womens New Jersey, American, and World records
and Dana Shealey who competed in the womens 220 class, came to the meet to bench 400, and she benched 400!!!  She went on to 425
and although 425 didn't happen I am positive it will happen in the very near future.
We had a great crew of lifters at the event, they were all very supportative of each other and the sportsmanship was excellent.  I really
enjoyed running this event and really enjoyed the people who took part in this competition.
For those traveling and in need of a really great powerlifting supportive gym, Apollon Gym is the place.  Wall to wall hardcore equipment,
a monolift, kettlebells, strongman equipment, you name it…..this is the place to be.  Lots of hardcore powerlifters, strongman competitors,
and pro-bodybuilders including Dorian Yates train here.  How much better of a training atmosphere can one ask for?  Visit the Apollon Gym
website at http://apollongym.com/ to see all they have to offer.
The APA will be returning to New Jersey on October 31 to run an event in conjuction with the NPC  Northeast Bodybuilding Grand Prix which will be hosted
by Dorian Yates and the Apollon Gym.  This is a must attend meet and will definitely have a HUGE amount of spectators present to cheer the
lifters on.  We are very excited about this upcoming event which should have a large turnout and an excellent venue.
